Mrs. Florida believes that when you reflect back on your life, the moments that will stand out are the moments when you have done things for others. This is why you will find Angela always eager to volunteer, no matter the task for local, state and national non-profit organizations. |
 |
Volunteering is nothing new to Angela, she considers herself a life long volunteer starting as a child growing up in Virginia. Her parents, also dedicated volunteers opened their home to refugees from Africa, Vietnam and Nicaragua and helped these individuals establish a life in America. Summers as a child were spent hosting children from New York as part of the Fresh Air program. The summer Angela turned 13 she began 35 hour work weeks as a volunteer candy striper for the Bridgewater Nursing Home. |

As the baby boomer generation ages into retirement and government financial support for non-profit organizations becomes harder to get, our nation's demand on volunteers will increase. Not only does Angela volunteer her time, she recruits others and speaks to high school students and business of the importance of volunteering. |

Angela and her husband of eight years, Bruce are proud to be Ambassadors for Camp Boggy Creek, Florida's only multi-disease camp for children with chronic and serious illnesses. This is just one of the camps that make up the Hole in the Wall Gang camps founded by Paul Newman. They are constantly recruiting for the camp and this past year visited Barretstown Castle Camp in Co. Kildare Ireland. They are working with this camp and family members in Ireland to help bring volunteers to this camp too. |

Angela is the proud mother of two girls, Caitlyn 20 and Holli 19, both who busy working on careers of their own. Angela "retired" from her job as an office manager last summer to assist her husband in his office. Bruce is a manufacturer's representative for the automotive and performance racing industry, currently in his twenty-forth year. When not working or volunteering, they enjoy fishing, traveling, Broadway plays, and playing with their two Ireland Jack Russell terriers, Guinness and Bailey. |

Angela was drawn to the Florida United States pageant not only because of her love for pageantry but because it is "The Pageant with a Purpose". She is honored to represent the married women of Florida and the numerous organizations in which she volunteers. |
