Founder and Executive Director, Pam Bolter, has enjoyed the world of pageantry for more than thirty years and brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and compassion to her pageant. She has served as an active volunteer in the Miss America Program for over 30 years: as a volunteer, judge, board member and executive director - and she, herself, has enjoyed competing for many years and winning seven national titles and countless local and state crowns as well. Pam enjoys all the positive aspects of pageantry and wants to help other girls & women experience this as well; to empower them and help them achieve their goals. Because of Pam's boundless energy and passion for community work, the Florida United States Pageants have been nicknamed The Pageant With A Purpose! They are aligned with the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation and it is a requirement that each delegate has a platform or cause that they will champion during their time associated with the Florida U.S. Pageants! Since 2002, they have raised thousands of dollars for the Making Memories; granting wishes for those with metastasis breast cancer. (Metastasis breast cancer is cancer that has spread from the breast to the bones, tissues, or organs, and is considered terminal.) Mrs. Bolter, explains why the Florida U.S. Pageants became involved with Making Memories, "There are so many pageants out there, but we wanted to make ours a pageant with a purpose. Unfortunately, at some point in each of our lives, the horrific disease of breast cancer will directly affect us, or one of our loved ones. Contestants in the Florida United States Pageants have made wonderful memories through our program and would like to help 'make memories' for those afflicted with this disease." This State Pageant is the only recognized pageant in the Sunshine State to crown five state queens: Jr. Teen, Teen, Miss, Ms. and our crowning jewel - Mrs. Florida United States!
